Introducing the all-new Epson Stylus® Pro 11880.
Epson MicroPiezo® TFP™ Print Head Technology
With the introduction of the cutting-edge MicroPiezo® TFP™ print head, the Epson Stylus® Pro 11880 has succeeded in achieving new levels of ink placement accuracy for extraordinary photographic quality. Factoring in its range of other innovative features, including its unmatched speed and ability to produce variable-sized droplets, this breakthrough inkjet print head is quite possibly the most advanced ever manufactured.
Epson UltraChrome™ K3 with Vivid Magenta Ink
Epson UltraChrome™ K3 is an acclaimed 8-color pigment-based professional ink set rapidly setting new standards in the professional printing industry. Now enhanced with our revolutionary new Vivid Magenta pigments, our newest-generation ink technology is ready to redefine the possibilities for professional color and black and white prints.
Epson AccuPhoto™ HD Screening Technology
The Epson Stylus® Pro 11880 breakthrough AccuPhoto™ HD screening technology uses a radical new algorithm for determining dot placement, resulting in exceptional photographic image quality. Its ability to compensate for various ink densities between resolutions enables a single ICC profile to be used per media type.
Advanced Black-and-White Printing Technology
The Advanced Black and White Printing mode is a unique Epson screening and color management technology developed to produce darkroom-quality black and white prints from either color or grayscale files. This unique driver takes full advantage of the three-level black technology to produce professional black-and-white prints from color or grayscale image files.
Two User-Exchangeable Black Ink Modes
Epson UltraChrome™ K3 ink and UltraChrome™ K3 with Vivid Magenta ink use 2 different black ink modes to optimize black ink density for various media types. The standard Photo Black ink mode can be used for any media type with professional results. However, for certain Epson media types such as Velvet Fine Art, Enhanced Matte, and UltraSmooth Fine Art, using the optional Matte Black ink mode dramatically increases black optical density for even better print quality.
Automatic Media Barcode Tracking and Identification System
The Automatic Media Barcode Tracking and Identification System offers the Epson Stylus® Pro 11880 user the convenience and removes aggravating guess work from the media tracking process. When enabled, the automatic media barcode tracking and identification system will automatically keep track of what media is loaded and the amount remaining on the roll. When a partially consumed roll is removed, the printer will automatically print a small barcode on the edge of the paper that will identify the paper when it is reinserted.
Auto Ink Droplet Detection System
The Epson Stylus® Pro 11880 has further improved the breakthrough Auto Nozzle Check system by creating the Auto Ink Droplet Detection System. This innovative feature automatically checks and verifies nozzle operability without the need for a pattern printout. A miniscule amount of electrically charged ink is emitted from all nozzles, and in the event that the built-in sensors do not detect ink, the nozzle is judged to be malfunctioning. If malfunctioning nozzles are detected, the printer automatically initiates a cleaning to clear the nozzle.
